You can change the region of your Nintendo account (on the website) without losing any of your games or anything.

I have this concern before that if you subscribe your Switch Account from Japan, you can't switch your region anymore to US or EU.

Usually US region is selected as it's compatible with most credit/debit cards from the Philippines and prepaid cards that are sold from most online stores.
